Un reciente informe, realizado para la NASA y la ESA a través de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias de EE.UU. corrobora las apocalípticas predicciones para el año 2012. El informe dice que para esa fecha se espera una tormenta solar que acabará con todos los sistemas vivos en la Tierra.
Los investigadores han anunciado que una tormenenta solar se aproxima, -La Más intensa de los últimos 50 años-. La predicción la dió el equipo Mausumi Dikpati del Centro Nacional de Investigación Atmosférica (NCAR) de EE.UU. “El siguiente ciclo de machas solares será entre un 30% y 50% mayores que los anteriores”.
